Our client runs a national business from its offices in Te Awamutu and also has interests in Australia and beyond. The company bats above its weight in the agri-related industry it services and is looking for a Financial Controller to take overall responsibility for the financial reporting, forecasting and accounting processes within the business.
The environment is dynamic and fast moving. The position is challenging, multi faceted and requires quick thinking, attention to detail and the ability to lead a small and effective team. You will work as part of the leadership team and you need to be ready for constant change and be able to deliver the information from which the company can make quick and effective decisions.
Critical to being the successful applicant for this position is a strong accounting background (ideally you are CA qualified), the proven ability to manage the financials in a complex business environment and the enthusiasm to get stuck in with the team to deliver a result.
This is an ideal role for a qualified professional looking to take on ‘whole business’ responsibility or someone who has learned the ropes in another challenging environment and can apply this in a new industry. You will already know how to manage multiple entities and consolidate accounts; you will be an Excel ‘wizard’ and you will have dealt with external accountants and bankers. So much the better if you have had exposure to mergers and acquisitions.
