Stock Manager/General Farm Position

We’re looking for a reliable, hard-working Stockperson to take the reins of our 340 ha dry stock farm in Waimiha. If you enjoy working independently and getting stuck into all aspects of farm life, this is the spot for you.


What the job looks like:
You’ll be handling the day-to-day running of the farm—everything from sheep and cattle work to the usual general maintenance like fencing, weed control, feeding out, and crutching. It’s a sole-charge role, so you’ll need to be someone who can manage their own time (with some weekend work in the mix).


What you’ll need:

  • Rotational Grazing and Pasture Management experience
  • Stock management (drenching, weighing stock etc)
  • A solid background working with sheep and beef
  • A good team of working dogs
  • To be physically fit and a straight shooter when it comes to communication.
  • Strong organisational skills to keep the place humming.
  • Crutching and shearing skills
  • Tractor driving experience
  • Current and full NZ driver


Two Bedroom Accommodation can be provided (More suited to a single person or a couple)
