Your Role
As Fencer General, you’ll play a hands-on role across a premium farming operation, with plenty of variety and responsibility.

The position focuses primarily on fencing (new projects and repairs), however you’ll also be involved in water system maintenance, weed and pest control, machinery operation and general farm maintenance.

There will also be opportunities to support and train less experienced team members and assist with stock work when required.

What You’ll Bring:

• A sound fencing skillset (new and repairs) as this is the core requirement of the role.
• Practical farming capabilities including weed control and competent tractor and machinery operation skills.
• Sheep and beef farming experience and confidence in livestock handling.
• Strong communication skills with a collaborative, team-focused approach.
• Excellent organisational and self-time management abilities.
• A proactive self-starter with strong problem-solving ability.
• Mature personality and approach to work.
• Organised, reliable, and punctual.
• Current New Zealand Driver’s Licence.

About Kokonga
Ziwotto Farms Limited’s Kokonga property is a professionally managed, premium 1,280ha sheep and cattle breeding and finishing operation in the Northwestern Waikato.

The business runs approximately 3,500 Romney ewes and 1,000 Angus cattle, with a strong focus on quality, sustainability, modern technology and ongoing investment.

The property features extensive infrastructure, including new tracks, two woolsheds and two new sets of cattle yards, supporting efficient management, animal health and safety.
